This comprehensive online Help system, provides complete, relevant information, so you can find answers quickly. Context-sensitive Help is available directly from each screen--a click of the mouse takes you directly to the appropriate topic.
Detailed instructions not only explain how to accomplish the task at hand, but also provide information on how to use the tool most effectively in your business.
The entire Help system is easy to browse, via a detailed Index of Help Topics. Each topic lists related topics, making it easy to locate all the information you need. Each topic also provides convenient access to a set of reference topics that explain common MIVA Merchant 5 tools in detail, and a glossary that provides quick, accurate explanations of terms you will encounter as you learn about e-commerce.
The following information will help you get the most from the MIVA Merchant 5 Online Help system:
Click the Help button, in the upper-right corner of most screen, to view information about the current MIVA Merchant screen.
The Help system will open in a new browser window, so you can continue working in MIVA Merchant while you keep the Help information at hand.
You can use the Index of Help Topics to find information quickly. A link to the the Index is available on each Help page, in the upper-right corner.
You can resize the Help window. For instance, you might want to make it tall and narrow, alongside your MIVA Merchant window, so you can read the instructions as you work.
You will find redundancy in the information, with some concepts or procedures being discussed in several places. This is in an effort present the relevant information at the moment it is needed. It is not assumed that you will read through every topic.
When a page describes a feature, such as adding a Store Manager, there are directions following the topic, explaining how to access that feature from anywhere in MIVA Merchant 5. This is for when you have discovered the information by browsing through the Help pages, and now need to go to the screen in MIVA Merchant.
When there is more information available under other topics, you will see links to those Help pages under Related Topics, near the bottom of the page.
There are Reference Information links near the bottom of each page. These pages describe tools found throughout MIVA Merchant. You may find it helpful to read each of these pages right away, since the information applies to many of the screens in MIVA Merchant.
The Help system is simply a collection of Web pages. You can print them, or save them to your Favorites list, just like any Web page.
Unlike a printed manual, online help can be updated whenever needed. You may notice changes in the content from time to time, as we continue to improve the system.
