Create a New User

Adding a new user to your MIVA Merchant system does not give them any privileges, unless you specifically assign privileges. Once they are a user, you can make them a store manager, or assign them to any store administration group.

Begin by entering a User Name. This could be the user's full name, or any other name you assign them. This is the name the person will use to log in.
Next, specify a password. You are asked to enter it twice, to verify it.
If you want this user to be an Administrator, select that check box.
If you want this user to be able to create new users on their own, select the User May Create Additional Users check box. This is useful especially for store managers, who can then create users to work in their stores.
To save the new user, and continue working with settings for that user, click Add. To save this user, and go on to create another, click Add+.
On the Preferences screen for this user you can set a default number of items to display in each of the list screens throughout the system.

Any administrator can return at any time to update the information.

Note that all administrators can create new users. Other users, like store managers, who have been assigned permission to create new users, can only create users with lesser permissions than their own. For instance, a store manager cannot create a new administrator.
