Delete Module

Deleting an Unneeded Module

Let's say that new shipping company goes out of business after 6 months. You no longer offer it as a shipping option in your store. You might as well delete the module, as it is only taking up space on the server.

First, unassign the module from any store(s) where it is being used. In the case of our shipping module, click Shipping Configuration. Clear the check box and click Update to unassign it.

Next go to the Modules screen at the domain level and locate the module. Click Edit then Delete.

You will be asked to confirm the removal of the module from the Miva Merchant system. Also, select whether to Delete the module file from the server. In the case of the shipping module for the defunct shipping company, you would delete the file, because there is no chance you will be using that module again. Click Delete to confirm or Cancel if you do not want to remove the module.
